MEXICO-US: Garza again hammers border-area violence

The US ambassador in Mexico issued last week yet another public tirade against violent crime in Mexico, which was followed almost immediately by a State Department 'advisory' counselling US visitors to exercise extreme caution. As the Mexican government suggested that some of the facts cited were wrong, a number of high-profile killings made it clear that drug-related violence was continuing apace.
